Summary:
At the funeral, Welkin is emotionless and asks everyone to forget about SGM Isara’s death, because it’s what she would have wanted. Ramal is angry that Welkin didn’t take Isara along, but no one really understands the pain that Welkin is going through. Oscar and Emile Bielert even try to cheer Welkin up with some wildlife, but the n00bs bring him a common scarab beetle. Rosie reveals that while Isara was on the verge of death, Isara mentioned she was happy to have heard Rosie sing, even if it was just once. It was a touching moment, but Welkin remains cold and emotionless.
To make matters worse, Georg comes by to get the blueprints for Isara’s smoke bombs. He even dares to stomp on the Darcsen cloak that covers the Edelweiss, and Rosie angrily takes him down for his impudence. Unfortunately, this just gets Welkin in hot water as he takes responsibility for the incident. Further adding to Welkin’s trouble is Alicia confessing to him (he basically tells her to just go bone Faldio), and Squad 7 trying to dig a huge pothole to punish Georg. Faldio even comes in to tell Welkin to stop wallowing in self-pity, and then punches Welkin in the face for being arrogant. Faldio is pissed that Welkin made Alicia cry and emphasizes to Welkin that they both did their best to protect their subordinates and they are not gods or superheroes.

Wow, this was such a touching and emotional episode. I really enjoyed seeing the impact of Isara’s death on everyone, although it was a little odd watching Jann trying to use the opportunity to get Largo drunk… Rosie’s story was excellent, and I was moved by Rosie singing the Darcsen song at Isara’s grave. I thought it was intriguing that Rosie asked Isara why she didn’t make more God-mode dolls, but then Rosie didn’t keep hers either. Rosie must have been really traumatized by Isara’s death, because there was no reason for the minor wound on Rosie’s arm to make her so tired. Even right after she was wounded, Rosie was moving all around and shooting (even making sure not to give up the pantsu shot).
Georg is complete trash, but I was disappointed by his weak takedown defense and inexcusable striking skills. While I don’t want to root for that jerk, how awesome would it have been if Georg had pulled his back leg away from Rosie’s awful shot and then completely stuffed her takedown attempt? Don’t forget that Rosie was a total bigot at first, too (as was Ramal). Meanwhile, the glowing Ragnite was stupid since the OP already shows Alicia with her Valkyrur swag on, and I can’t believe Alicia and Faldio were on Welkin’s case. The guy just buried his sister; how about you two horny bunnies hold off on this love triangle BS for just one episode?! Welkin cannot even get a moment to cry without some idiots literally digging a hole for themselves. I know you want Welkin to sob into your arms, but punching him in the face and getting him in trouble with his boss’s boss is not going to help.
