Fuck, I cried a lil seeing the chapter cover.

This idiot mother-son pair’s still at it. Thank god for Nagi being the bokke to counter this. Actually in this case, he’s the tsukkomi isn’t he?

Even more d’aaaawwwwwwwwwwwwww. This would’ve been a CMoH if it wasn’t for the fact this is a all a dream.

And that ends our little interlude, which Akamatsu sure is milking the hell out of it, and back to the real world now.

So that’s not the Zazie but her elder sister, which raises questions of who the heck are they and how powerful they really are. Not to mention Zazie herself also has her own Pactio and makes it even curiouser on who are their Magister(s).

298 spoilers should be out by now (holy shit this chapter was really late). Hopefully, scanlations won’t take as long again.

Well, Asoiku’s still running hot 3 episodes in to the show. Admittedly it wasn’t as happening as the first two, but for a breathing episode this was fine… plus we got a real dose of T&A as well, albeit extremely censored. Oh gods, why aren’t there uncensored airings of this show? It’s not even half as bad as shit like Queen’s Blade. So exploding boobs are fine but alien cat girl T&A’s are off?

Can’t wait for the next episode, with all the new spanners in the works thrown in this week. Also, /r/ more Inoue-oneesama!

You know what, I am sick of moralfags looking down on people because they read scanlations online. More than 60% of scanlations probably don’t have even have an English market, and the English market wouldn’t even have existed if not for scanlations.

I am sick of moralfags preaching about buying original merchandise of a certain area when they themselves pirate almost everything else. Then they also look down on people for reading scanlations online.

I am sick of the whole “TEH INDUSTRY IS DYING BECUZ PEOPLE STEAL STUFF FROM THE INTERWEBS!” gospel. God knows the industry wouldn’t have actually come this far without the Internet acting as a catalyst to spread it further.

I am sick of outdated Intellectual Property laws that seem to protect the creators but are actually used to enrich the rights-holders (in many cases the recording/publishing/production company) without ACTUALLY fairly giving the REAL creators their share.

I am sick of the moralfags that just pretty much act like asses just because their buying power is greater than people in third world countries without any regard for how much inequalities exist in the world economy.

Fuck all these. I do and will continue to buy original merchandise that I deem worthy enough to justify the enormous expense. Otherwise I am quite comfortable with reading scanlations and watching fansubs/raws as they come off the Internet. If there’s anything really good, then I WILL SUPPORT THE FUCKING INDUSTRY EVEN IF IT’S GOING TO COST ME HALF A MONTH’S WORTH OF LUNCH MONEY. I’m not just gonna crawl under a fucking rock just because I don’t have enough money to BUY EVERY FUCKING CONTENT I CONSUME.

Otherwise, fuck off and get the fuck off your fucking high horse before you start preaching about SUPPORTING THE FUCKING INDUSTRY. Are you even sure you’re not consuming any illegal content at all? Think about it, moralfags.

It took me an hour to finish watching this episode thanks to that.

Oh god what, are you serious? Morishima Lovely Haruka. I can’t deny it fits her perfectly but… what?!

Oh, so that’s why. And we also get a perfect explanation for her blue eyes too. It’s been kinda bugging me how she could have black hair AND blue eyes.

I can’t believe he managed to blurt that out with such a straight face, as true as it might be!

And they are happily married (although where are the lil’ ones? Admittedly it is kinda hard to imagine her as a mom… especially if she had a son. Poor guy would so suffer from mental torture).

Well, that wraps up the Morishima Haruka arc. I’m glad they ended it this way. By the sheer virtue of doing standalone arcs for each girl, Amagami SS might just be a real winner. This is way better than trying to integrate everything in to one fluid arc and then bung it up with extreme dorama, like in Kimikiss. Seriously, that show….

Sexhair’s arc is up next. Well, at least I won’t have to suffer from brain breaks anymore.

Finished it all! I guess my decision to marathon the whole thing when it finishes was the right idea. Everything felt more intense compared to watching weekly, especially when the storyline’s on a railroad.

Not saying it’s a bad thing, in fact, FMA:B really does the manga justice. It pretty much felt like the manga coming to life and just shows how good the story was. Couldn’t stop my sniffling at the “Promised Day” arc, especially whenever someone dies.

One thing you have to love about the animated version is how it brings everything to life. Winry sure did grew up healthy, XD. Man she just exuded raw sex appeal just by being on-screen in some episodes. One of the drawbacks was some iffy animation during the action scenes though, but nothing going to full QUALITY levels thankfully.

King Bradley/Wrath is probably my most respected character of the series though, given his setting, skills and the way he dies. Somehow, despite being the bad guy, I just can’t help but to admire him a lot. Anime sure did him good justice too.

Noticed that the final episode differed a little from the manga chapter, but it’s actually good because they complemented each other. Hohenheim’s death was a lot sadder in the anime, but the manga version of Ed’s confession to Winry is better by a little bit. Still, it did great justice to the series.

There’s also the movie upcoming soon, but no plot details have been revealed so far. I just hope it’s not a compilation movie… maybe they might even do a trilogy of it like Kiddy Grade, lol. My hope would be it focusing on some of the side-stories/novels or maybe even a fully new plot to extend what happens during the Elric Brothers’ adventures to the east and west. That would be nice .

Liked: Yes, did proper justice to the manga.
Rewatch: Iffy, because it’s quite long, maybe a few years down the road XD.

Let me show you the undeniable proof that Asobi ni Ikuyo! is, hands-down, the best show of the season so far.

Exhibit 1: James Bond-esque sports car. Owned by Crysis-tan no less!

Okay, not exactly, but works as advertised.

What? Having these two in one episode isn’t enough?! Fine, here’s a few more exhibits.

Exhibit 3: “Compensation”

Don’t worry, they’re genetically similar to us!

Exhibit 4: Catheans have perfected the art to insult people while smiling.

Kinda reminds me of the “Abh smile” from Banner of the Stars. In many ways, the Catheans seem to be like the polar opposite of the Abhs aren’t they?

Exhibit 5: Mating Season.

Fuck, this totally got me. I also want to make “first contact” dammit!

Also, fuck yeah more cat girls coming!

Man, Asobi ni Ikuyo! is already pretty damn epic just the second episode in. Of course this can be both good and bad. On one side, the enjoyment factor of the show is sky-high, but on the other hand, I do wonder if it can sustain this pace for the rest of the season. It’s just 2 episodes in! But well, so far it seems to be in pretty good shape, and so hopefully the show doesn’t suck later on.

After all, the cast list already hints on pretty promising stuff later on, such as Hocchan and Inoue Kikuko. Admittedly, this show is pretty much dominated by the new generation seiyuus such as Sphere, Itou Kanae and Kana-tan~

Oh and finally got to listen to Now Loading… Sky. Pretty cute song that fits quite well with the show. Man I love this outtro cap for some reason.

DFC lovers are going to find themselves satisfied with Crysis-tan too. I really only noticed how “smooth” she is from this cap, LOL.

One thing I’m quite liking about Campanella is how they are doing a better job of depicting an RPG game than most other RPG game anime adaptations. Ironic since it’s actually an eroge in origin. Haha.

… are you one of them?

So after a day and sufficiently rehabilitated to be cohesive again, I’ve noticed that Amagami SS 03 is one of the episodes that are great enough to generate a real division between the watchers to categorize them as “love it to bits” and “hate it like hell”. Case in point for the latter: Chaos Tangent.

What I think is that these people are merely losing the point of the show.

No, really. Amagami SS is a romantic simulation game adaptation and it makes no sense why people should be expecting true tears level writing and plot in it. And to make it worse, then express negative opinions about it when it does not reach that level. I don’t think or expect even for a second that anime on the lines of Amagami’s origins would be “deep” or “thoughtful” or even cathartic at its best.

No, shows like Amagami are meant for lowest common denominator(LCD) consumption and it is excelling at it exceedingly well by daring to be adventurous in it approach. Obviously it’s not a formula that will impress everyone, but for a show targeting the LCD, this is actually quite an upgrade from the other shows worth calling “crass and vacuous” that are competing with on the same basis.

I really have no idea why people can’t just enjoy it for what it is and expect the sky out of the ground. Some people really need to lay back on the expectations a lot and get in touch with the reality of the anime scene nowadays. Besides if they want “depth” and “emotions”, there’s always shows like Shiki to watch. Cut back on the sugar if you have diabetes, iykwim.

Right, on to the episode.

I think my initial post has already expressed much of what I thought of the episode. Why I chose the “nyan nyan kougeki” scene to showcase was merely because it had the strongest impact of the whole episode to my mental health. God, listening to Itou Shizuka doing that is pure aural sex in many ways.

Of course the “behind the knees kiss” was pretty damn innovative as well and kudos to the writers for thinking that up. At the least it’s not as crazy as armpits but still sensual enough a spot to make an impact. It’s right at the doorstep of the “no-enter” zone! Now that’s really “zettai ryouiki” (oh god they better not put her in to one later!).

Otherwise this episode isn’t really much to say about apart from Junichi proving that persistence can pay off if you’re going for the right person (plus points if you can do a proper “puppy-dog eyes” impression too!). While Morishima might be a real tease, she ain’t unbreakable and she’s not really being a manipulative bitch or whatsoever, so I’ve considerably warmed up to her after this week.

I just hope it doesn’t all come crashing down at the next episode…
