Hurr… finally starting on the real arc for the second half. Should be done by 4-6 episodes I hope.

Anyways, new character introduced for this arc and its… Hanazawa Kana! Geez, having both Kana AND Aki together is a kinda cheating in a way.

Another new character, this time it’s woman that looks like a certain book-carrying and always drunk character from another popular light novel series.

Saten-san looks pretty good in a yukata and with her hair tied up like that. I don’t know what to call it. It’s not “twintails” is it? Anyways, I can see why she’s unexpectedly way more popular than Biri-biri now, ahaha.

Meanwhile, Kuroko’s not gonna give up without some yuri-yuri antics.

And…. finally some real plot. But. What. The. Fuck. That mecha’s color scheme is a fucking disaster in taste IMHO. It looks like it got randomly splotched with red paint over the pink coating and is probably more at home at some museum of modern art than on a mecha. And I thought the pink Zaku was going to be the pinnacle of bad taste. Har har.

Maa~ anyways, looks like it’s going to involve AIM Diffusion field shit again and Harumi-sensei looks set to make a return appearance too.

I wanted to blog this as soon as I came back, but I took a while to get myself mentally prepared for this chapter again. OTOH, Level 5 -Judgelight- was quite a great accompaniment to this chapter.

All I can say is….. “NAMAE WO YONDE!” *sniff* *sniff*

But my tears didn’t truly start until this page. “A hero is someone who can’t show anyone the tears behind the mask.”… HINA-CHAN ｳﾜｧｧ—–｡ﾟ(ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ)ﾟ｡—–ﾝ!!!!

Hinagiku, your heroic sacrifice will be forever remembered in our hearts.

Well, the real fallout is going to start in the next chapter onwards though. At least the action part’s all over with for now. Let’s see how the story dynamics are going to change from this.

Bah, the Touma hijack was nothing. And here I was thinking he really hijacked the episode or something. The real heroine of this episode is actually Uiharu!

I mean, how can you NOT go “D’aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw!!” at this! I just love it when Uiharu goes on her fujoshi-ish rampages towards “upper-class” things.

Ah! Look at how uncultured Saten-san is! Eating things being put on exhibition!

Holy shit, she’s so totally in the “upper class” aura of the dorm until she’s become one!

Unfortunately that’s not true for the majority of people. Hurr….

….. I don’t know what to say about this. “Purely British-made, purely Japanese” outfit? What?! I’ll admit the combination of miko + meido is kinda awesome and all, but the exection leaves much to be desired here!

And… this is the Touma hijack. Liek, LOL? He appears for a grand total of… 30 seconds and people call it a hijack. NO WAI. On a sidenote, notice how he’s amnesia Touma now, not FUCKAWESOME Touma from the early episodes.

Also, Level 5 -Judgelight- seems to have gotten leaked over the weekend holiday, and I can say I definitely like it more than only my railgun for the sheer epic feel of the song. But I’m starting to doubt we are ever going to see the scenes from the OP happening, judging from the episode count and preview for 20. Unless they do it in like, 4-5 episodes, LOL. Or Railgun gets extended for another cour (I wouldn’t mind that!).

Well worth waiting 3 days to watch this!

And yes, Yamamoto-sensei doesn’t disappoint. Simple is still the best!

Tsuchida’s shirt is the probably his most awesome part this episode too. “Composure” ヽ( >∀< )ﾉ AHAHA AHAHA AHAHAHAHA.

But she can be pretty sexy too. GJ, Tsucchi!

And for the siscon/brocon demography, looks like you guys/girls are getting a new addition!

The ED this week is rather crazy awesome, but I can’t really say much about the vocals. Shion Hirota is pretty… new, eh.

And also gives them a heads-up on Fakesuna.

Rakan is so broken we had to see him get erased twice in two chapters.

Chisame breaking down was the saddest part of the whole chapter and, possibly the series so far. Rakan-san!! ｳﾜｧｧ—–｡ﾟ(ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ)ﾟ｡—–ﾝ!!!!

On the other hand, Nodoka is finally standing up. Go, girl, go!

Okay, that was a rather looooooooong post title.

First off, to all my Chinese diaspora readers, I wish you a Happy Chinese New Year 2010! May this year bring about continued prosperity and happiness to everyone!

Wow, they sure started off on way different tack compared to the last episode. In just a month, they’re already in to licking each other!

Of course, I am jesting, but this was a really good episode after the first one.

For one thing, the episode is meta as fuck and Togame pretty much acts as the Author Avatar in addressing one of the biggest criticisms of the series, namely that Shichika is pretty damn bland.

Am I the only one who thinks Shichika looked way more decent in his previous outfit? This new ones practically expose his upper half! A little form of irony here?

Don’t forgot he also can shapeshift in to other people as well. Thank you for the short fanservice last episode, Koumori.

…. how true. Did I mention this episode is meta as fuck?

Not bad, I guess. Then again, he sounds like he just agreed to it just because he was getting annoyed being forced to choose one rather than him liking it.

… or maybe he does like it. That was a pretty great comic timing there, Shichika!

But I have to say, I so agree to this…

I mean, like fuck, the subs ACTUALLY were in reverse order as well and THAT was extremely fucking hard to read. I actually thought I was getting trolled but thankfully it wasn’t. THANK GOD HE GOT KILLED IN LESS THAN 2 CUTS. I MEAN I WOULDN’T BE ABLE TO TAKE READING HIS FUCKING SUBTITLES FOR THE WHOLE EPISODE, MUCH LESS WRITE A WHOLE FUCKING NOVEL OF HIM SAYING EVERYTHING BACKWARDS.

I don’t know why but I found this line extremely funny coming from Yukarin, rather than from Togame.

And this is my most favourite scene of the episode, how Togame tried to berate Shichika but got the tables turned instead.

To his credit, Shichika is really shaping out to be an interesting lead after this episode and Togame just gets more and more awesome, especially with her serving as the Author Avatar of sorts for the show. I found it kinda funny, but this is how Nisioisin rolls I guess.

Definitely looking forward to next month for my Yukarin fix again. And hopefully, more awesome meta banter for the lulz.
